MadaraOn this night of a pale crescent moon00:17
MadaraWith this wind that moves my paintbrush00:21
KohakuAs I’m looking over this scenery00:24
KohakuOf a light crimson rain00:29
AllIs this world a stippling100:34
MadaraOf drops of loneliness and moments that never overlap?00:42
AllAnd still, through your eyes00:50
AllEach color may just blend together into one00:57
KohakuUnnoticed, as much as01:14
KohakuThe wind blows in this crevice01:14
AllWrapped in a spring storm01:22
AllWhile standing close01:26
AllEveryone wants to preserve their pieces01:29
KohakuOf amber that were locked by the overlapping time01:37
AllEven though I collected many fragments01:44
AllI realized that I can only paint in sepia01:52
MadaraIf even with the innumerable roads that never cross02:03
KohakuCan line up close to02:15
AllThe flowing river's bank, then so...02:24
AllIs this world a stippling painting02:35
AllSketched of loneliness and moments?02:39
AllBut yet, your eyes keep seeking02:51
AllAnd maybe, like in a spring storm02:59
AllA gathering of colors will be blended into one03:07
KohakuWalking in the streets when lit by a pale moon03:24
MadaraAs its distanced shadows appears03:27
KohakuMay seem just one03:32
MadaraIf you see them from far03:35

Translation notes

  1. In this song, the first two times the chorus appears, both Madara and Kohaku say their own names and turn them into part of the lyrics. In this case, it’s even more special because “斑” (Madara) means “stippling,” which is also the title of the song. In the case of "琥珀" (Kohaku), the word means Amber.
